Statement of Faith.

The Bible
We believe the Bible (66 canonical books) is the infallible Word of God. It is inerrant in the original manuscripts and our singular authority in all matters of faith, doctrine and Christian living.
(2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1: 20,21)

God’s Nature and Existence
We believe in One God, eternally existing in three distinct persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit whose nature is love and grace, as well as holiness and justice. (Genesis 1:1,26; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14; 1 John 4:16; Ps 68: 5, 6; Matt. 16-18)

The Father creates, ordains, and rules in perfect love and justice through the work and influence of the Son and the Spirit in the affairs of His universe.

The Son, Jesus Christ, came to earth as fully God and fully man through His virgin birth to accomplish the plan of salvation for mankind and all creation. Through His atoning work on the cross (His death, burial and resurrection) He has restored the relationship between the Godhead and His creation. The restoration of everything damaged by sin and the defeat of the plans of the enemy, Satan, opens eternal life for all believers.

The Holy Spirit reveals Jesus Christ and so, convicts of sin, imparts Life and indwells to empower each person who comes to saving faith through Christ to live as children of God. (John 3:16; Ephesians 1:1; Corinthians 2. John 1)

God’s Creation
We believe God created the universe and all that is in it. When man disavowed God, the creation was affected and is waiting to be restored to its perfection and, like man is awaiting the Lord’s return and completion of His original plan.
(Genesis 3; Romans 8:22; Rev. 21)

Man’s Nature
Man is created in the image of God, but separated from God by Sin. Because of our sinfulness, without Jesus we cannot have a relationship with God. (Gen.1: 26, Rom. 1:21; 3:23-25, 1 Tim. 2:5)

God’s Provision
We believe sinful man would have remained in a state of guilt and separation from God, but by His grace, love and mercy, He sent Jesus Christ as the atoning sacrifice to pay our debt that we could not possibly pay. All people who trust God fully and come by faith to a saving repentance and acceptance of the person and work of Jesus Christ are born again by the Holy Spirit. Thus, we become the children of God, sons and heirs of His Kingdom. The believer has also been given authority and weapons to stand against the enemy’s plots. (Isaiah 53; Matthew 20:28; John 1: 12-13; Ephesians 6:10-18; 2 Cor. 5:28)

God’s People
We hold that all believers are called into the one true Church universal even as we self-divide into organizational church doctrines and traditions. We are in unity on all things essential even as we are different in non-essentials.

Believers are to live as visible representatives of Christ, Himself, empowered by the Holy Spirit according to the principles of heaven found in the Holy Scriptures. (Mark 1:9-10; Acts 2:40-4; Romans 12: 4-6; Ephesians 2: 19-22; Hebrews 10:24-25; Galatians 3:28)

God’s Return
We believe in the personal and visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ to earth and the establishment of His kingdom. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust; the just to everlasting joy and the unjust to everlasting separation from God. (Matthew 25:31-46; John 5:28-29;1 Corinthians 15; 2 Corinthians 5:10; Revelations 20: 11-15; 1 Thessalonians 4: 16-17)
